Meet the Owner, David McCullough

After years of family, friends, and co-workers, asking David to share recipes with them or to prepare a dish for a gathering eventually morphed into delectable cuisines for graduations, bridal showers, engagement parties, and other social events. In 2017 David established Choppin’ with Dapp a culinary cuisine business. His love affair and celebration for food began early on and was inspired by his mother, their love, and bringing people together. Growing up his parents required everyone to pull their fair share when it came to cooking meals at home. 

David noticed in grade school that his mom would always have him take something out of the freezer for dinner so that she could prepare it when she arrived home later in the evening. To help, David took it upon himself to prep, chop, season, and cook the family meals. At the time, David assumed he was doing his part to help out, little did he know that he was learning an invaluable lesson. After David’s mother passed away from cancer prematurely at the age of 50, he knew he wanted to carry on her legacy by continuing their special pastime - Cooking! It was something she loved, and it was a distinct and meaningful way for him to still feel connected to her.

Choppin’ with Dapp is more than a catering company, it is “Feel Good Food” that celebrates life and his mother’s legacy while serving others. Like his mother, David believes that cooking for others is a gift and a way to give back to the community!
